I have become such a big Post Malone fan over the last few years. He’s humble, kind and a hell of musician oozing all sorts of talent.

I found myself defending him on social media last night from the negativity that is Facebook.

I love watching an artist pick up a guitar and actually perform a patriotic song live and do it with respect. Do you know how hard that is to do in front of the world?

He didn’t whip his tit out, he wasn’t lip syncing like Usher, no autotune, he didn’t take a knee, no political statements, no spitting on the field and he did the best he could, which was pretty damn good.

I get some of these complainers are part of the “get off my lawn” crowd but give the dude some credit instead of tearing him down and creating an imaginary divide that isn’t necessary.

He’s a talented guy in a not so conventional package but his rendition of America The Beautiful was all heart. Too bad those people didn’t have the heart to see it.

Was this a flawless performance? No but when it came to giving it your best and doing it with class, it was.
