Alec’s, not Alex.
Classic Rock was one of the first things I got serious about in life – it’s like the perfect meal you never get tired of eating. I’m constantly driven to learn more about these amazingly talented and interesting groups of people, and there’s always an old favorite to listen to or another hidden gem left to find. Whether it’s Live at the Fillmore East or In the Court of the Crimson King, Aqualung or Physical Graffiti, Workingman’s Dead or Dark Side of the Moon, there’s never any question: whatever’s on, it’s classic rock. I’ve been in radio for four years and yeah, it’s a job, but I can hardly consider it work! Being able to talk about these artists and their music every day is truly a privilege.
My personal heroes have gotta be Duane Allman, Steve Howe, Jerry Garcia and Bob Dylan. When I’m not on the air or listening to classic rock, I like to read Stephen King, Chuck Palahniuk and various musical biographies, play guitar, watch old concerts online and play the occasional game. I haven’t been in Fredericksburg for too long, but I already love it here!
