Human trafficking is an injustice that impacts our local communities and businesses worldwide. Richmond Justice Initiative’s (RJI) mission is to educate, equip and mobilize communities to end human trafficking. Through their nationally recognized Prevention Project™ curricula they work to prevent, educate, and end human trafficking in schools and youth programs in communities locally and nationally. RJI has currently provided life-saving prevention education to over 68,000 people, 43,000 of them being students.
RJI will be hosting their virtual Benefit for Freedom on August 12, 2021 at 7pm Eastern time with the theme “Educate to Eradicate”! The date is globally significant because every year, August 12 is set aside worldwide to highlight issues affecting youth and celebrate young peoples’ voices during a day coined by the United Nations as “International Youth Day.” As RJI marks entering into the 10th year of the Prevention Project™ curriculum in the classroom, there could not be more reasons to celebrate!
