Chaz Mixon

Chaz Mixon was born in Baton Rouge and grew up in Amarillo.  From his earliest years he took a serious interest in music and the concert business.  It was commonplace to hear heavy tracks like Billion Dollar Babies and Aqualung blaring from the open windows of his parent’s house. After landing at the University of Texas, Arlington Chaz knew that his life was destined to be spent on the air.  He proceeded to do that for the next decade and a half on the biggest rock stations in Dallas.  Chaz loves sports (especially Dallas teams) and he’s a fan of shows like Breaking Bad, Fargo and Ray Donovan.  He’s got a busy family life with his wife Kathy and their two twenty-something sons: Josh and Jeremy.  Chaz still manages to find the time to get some practice in on his 12 string acoustic.  It’s his way of recharging after a spending the morning rocking out, telling stories and helping you get your day in gear.

If KISS does get elected to the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, don't expect to see all 4 original members on stage together, at least according to Gene Simmons.

Someone with waaaay to much time on their hands has put this video together. Its The Monster Mash as sort of sung by the cast of The Walking Dead. If you're a fan of the show like I am, you'll enjoy this. If you're not a fan of the show, be warned, there are some graphic scenes from the show included in this video. It's the Monster Mash as you've never heard it before.

There has been a lot of talk lately about The Washington Redskins name. The President has weighed in. Bob Costas has thrown in his two cents, stating the name is an insult, a slur. And the controversy continues whether the team should change it's name. Maybe we could keep the name if we just made a slight change to the logo. . .

He may have died in 1970, but they're still finding material to put on albums. The latest release is live from the Miami Pop Festival. Check out a sample, a smokin' version of "Fire".
